Nicole Silverman

Interim Executive

Nicole is an accomplished executive who is skilled in integrating operations and strategy within different types of not-for-profit organizations.  She is adept at analyzing organizational structures, processes, and staffing to align resources to prioritized strategic objectives.  She also has experience working with boards and senior management teams to develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans, taking into account internal strengths and capabilities as well as environmental opportunities and policy constraints. 

Nicole has a proven track record of developing and sustaining revenue-enhancing programs, products, and initiatives, leading staff teams to assess needs, and then develop and successfully implement solutions.  She led the development of a successful software product for the Maryland Hospital Association and nurtured and grew a multi-stakeholder healthcare measure incubator initiative at the National Quality Forum, both of which provided necessary revenue diversification for the respective organizations.   

Through her roles in membership organizations and consulting, Nicole has excelled at developing strong collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, volunteer leaders, and staff. She helped implement governance reform in several organizations, and currently sits on the board of the not-for-profit Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP), an accreditor of home and community-based health providers.  Nicole enjoys leading and mentoring staff, and has created professional development programs to build staff skills and prepare them for new challenges as their organizations have evolved.  She also has worked with staff one-on-one and in groups to instill the essentials of project management. 

Nicole received a BA with honors from Wesleyan University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  She holds an MBA in Healthcare Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
